After beginning his career in retail as a management trainee at Woolworths, Iain Forrest entered the travel retail industry in 1997, when he joined Aer Rianta International as Operations Manager at the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle duty free stores in the UK – at the time one of the world’s busiest travel retail operations. He has since travelled widely, holding a number of senior operational roles within ARI’s Eastern European business, notably helping set up the retailer’s business in Pristina, Kosovo.

In 2007 he joined Dufry as General Manager of Dufry Belgrade, before being appointed Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Dufry Middle East & India last year. Iain now helps oversee Dufry’s operations in Sharjah and across the Indian sub-continent, in addition to helping the company build its presence in emerging markets.
